The Marine Fitter apprenticeship contract will depend on approval from the Directorate General of Training (DGT).
CSL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Details
For ITI Trade Apprentices, candidates must have passed Class 10 and hold an ITI National Trade Certificate (NTC) in one of the notified trades.
For Technician (Vocational) Apprentices, candidates must have passed Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) in the concerned discipline.
Other important requirements are:
- Candidate must be at least 18 years old as on 8 October 2026.
- The applicant must be a domicile of Kerala.
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training in another organization under the Apprentices Act, 1961, are not eligible.
- Candidates with an equivalent qualification must upload an equivalency certificate from the competent authority.
- Reservation will be applicable according to Government of India rules.
CSL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Stipend and Training
Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹11,000 per month during the one-year apprenticeship training.
The training will be conducted at Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kochi, Kerala. CSL has stated that boarding and lodging will not be provided, and travel expenses for certificate verification or apprenticeship training will not be paid.
Completion of apprenticeship does not give candidates an automatic right to employment with CSL.
