Eligibility Criteria for North Central Railway GDCE Recruitment
Educational Qualification
- For ALP & Technicians: Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized NCVT/SCVT institutions in relevant trades, or Course Completed Act Apprenticeship, or relevant Diploma/Degree in Engineering. Specific B.Sc degrees apply to certain technician roles.
- For Junior Engineers: Three-year Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering disciplines from a recognized university or institute.
- For NTPC Non-Graduate Posts: 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (50% marks not insisted for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen or those with higher qualifications). Typing proficiency in English or Hindi is mandatory for Junior Clerk cum Typist.
Age Limit
The upper age limits for unreserved and reserved categories as reckoned on 01.01.2027 are:
- UR Candidates: 42 Years
- OBC Candidates: 45 Years
- SC/ST Candidates: 47 Years
